Presented in Rome to Police, Armed Forces and Security experts
New high-tech solution for the security and surveillance of sensitive areas: it is called “DJI Dock” and is an original system developed by the world giant DJI that offers an immediate, 24-hour and all-weather response for drone monitoring of military installations such as barracks and warehouses, or strategic sites such as telecommunications facilities, power plants or airports. This system was officially presented during an event, which took place in Rome, attended by representatives of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement and Armed Corps of the State, as well as experts and professionals in the field of civil and military security.
“The DJI Dock is a ‘base station’ for Matrice 30 drones, which allows you to automatically program and carry out different mission profiles for inspections, controls and rescues even in remote or dangerous places,” says Valentino Bertolini, marketing director of Nital, the Italian company that takes care of the exclusive distribution of DJI Enterprise products in Italy. “It is a professional solution, which can provide effective solutions for institutional and military security, but also for the civil industrial market”.
The “DJI Dock” system is divided into two main elements. First of all, a small automated robotic platform (b800×885×h1065 cm), which occupies an area of less than 1 square meter, weighs less than 105 kg and can operate day and night even in difficult weather conditions and with temperatures from -35 to +50 ° C.
The platform houses inside a quadcopter of the “DJI Matrice 30” series, whose batteries can be quickly recharged in just 25 minutes thanks to the TEC cooling system, and is also equipped with a wide-angle security camera and if necessary also a thermal chamber, an integrated weather station, a compartment for an LTE 10 connection card, an internal omnidirectional antenna, an RTK module for geopositioning and an Edge Computing expansion bay that allows pre-processing of multimedia files.
The second element is the drone “DJI Matrice 30” (in the “M30” or “M30T” versions), which has a flight autonomy of 40 minutes and a maximum range of 7 km and is equipped with sophisticated visible and infrared cameras with wide-angle optics, zoom and laser rangefinder. The drone’s missions are programmed via the cloud-based management software “DJI FlightHub 2” or, alternatively, through the use of third-party software.
