Elettronica renews its commitment to ensuring protection from the threats of malicious drones, this time on the occasion of the Alpine Star 2022 exercise, an annual training event of the Alpine Troops of the Army, inserted, for the occasion, as part of the events to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Alpine Corps.
Thanks to the deployment of its innovative Snow Leopard Anti-drone system, Elettronica has contributed specifically to overseeing the security of the infrastructures and the area that involved the Alpine Star exercise, an important event organized by the Alpine Troops Command and in the presence of numerous high authorities from the institutional, military and civil world. In particular, the anti-drone protection, using only passive sensors and making extensive use of Artificial Intelligence, concerned the military grounds of the Bolzano airport infrastructure.
The company, at the forefront for years in providing solutions to combat threats from malicious drones, has deployed to protect the area affected by the activity its latest Snow Leopard system – able to operate even in motion and in adverse conditions – designed and implemented to be used in contexts where high operational mobility, flexibility and ease of installation and re-deployment are essential features.
Snow Leopard, conceived with the most advanced Artificial Intelligence algorithms, is the result of considerable investments by the company in Research and Development and, like the entire family of Anti-Drone products, combines Radar, Direction Finder and Optronic sub-systems all coordinated and managed by a Command and Control system that allows the operator to guarantee the correct execution of the assigned mission. Elettronica’s Anti-Drone family can be used with different architectures according to the need to manage the entire operating sequence – from interception to neutralization – with further possibility of identifying the pilot’s position on the ground.
