FlySight announce a new partnership with HENSOLDT Avionics, marking an exciting development in the aviation industry. The agreement has been officially signed, and a dedicated teams have wasted no time in joining forces to bring the remarkable OPENSIGHT capabilities to various Hensoldt platforms.
This collaboration introduces the revolutionary CaviMission computer, unlocking unprecedented opportunities for system integrators and end-users alike. Leveraging the renowned reliability of EURONAV and harnessing the cutting-edge capabilities of the OPENSIGHT software suite, this innovative solution will empower airborne operators to optimize their onboard sensors like never before.
Through seamless integration with the avionic suite, and with the support of an advanced real-time augmented reality engine enhanced by artificial intelligence, users can expect a disruptive and user-friendly experience that takes their operations to new heights.
“The reliability and strength that established systems made by Hensoldt Avionics transmit in the world of avionics welcomes and joins our OPENSIGHT suite, specially designed to enable the development of innovative solutions for the mission, planning, execution and debriefing. This partnership can significantly transform airborne operations and provide a strategic advantage on the field. Of course, it would be a response to the air missions of today and tomorrow, which need even more powerful systems and at the top of strategic decision-making processes” says Andrea Masini, CTO FlySight Srl.
The CaviMission combines a Certified Performance Computer (CPC) DAL-C, a High-Performance Computer (HPC) DAL-D and a Video management Unit all in one box. With its CPC and Xplorer dual-headed application, CaviMission enables the crew to navigate safely by centralising critical information such as weather radar, drone proximity detection, and obstacle databases.
With its user-friendly application and accessibility via touch screen and other controllers, HENSOLDT Avionics focuses on an easy-to-use Man Machine Interface for its Xplorer application which gives faster data access and search results as well as allowing for an easier change between map selection and sensor overlays.
With the HPC part and thanks to a Linux hypervisor operating system, CaviMission gives the operator the possibility to host their own application to fulfil their mission. Moreover, the CaviMission video switching unit can manage up to 8 video inputs and 8 videos outputs, as well as record 6 of them in full HD on a 4TB Solid State Disk. With the latest generation CaviMission, HENSOLDT is contributing to a better tomorrow. By linking 3 computers in one, CaviMission saves a total weight of up to 40 per cent and also saves energy.
FlySight software suite specifically designed to allow the development of innovative solutions for mission planning, execution, and debriefing. OPENSIGHT allows system integrators to manage information in a synthetic environment for an improved geospatial situational awareness.
OPENSIGHT enables flexible customized solutions for system integrators and end-users in civil defence, police, military, and civilian industrial asset management. Basically, offered as a Software Development Kit, it can also be extended with the Augmented Reality System and the Automatic Target Recognition tool. Additional turnkey solutions, ready to be installed, have been developed to address specific operational needs in defined mission scenarios.
OPENSIGHT allows both the integration of new solutions from scratch and new fundamental capabili[1]ties in an existing legacy environment in order to: • Process data from heterogeneous sensors in real-time (Electro-optical, Infrared, Hyperspectral, Radar, LIDAR, SONAR); • Layer information from multiple warfighting functions on 3D map displays or on Augmented Reality views; • Share information and commands, providing all the parties involved with a real-time common view of the scenarios.
