The delivery of 35 Horton buses to the Terrestrial Armaments Directorate has begun.
The entire fleet could reach hundreds of vehicles and will be used for Army personnel transport throughout Italy.
The buses Tekne Horton bus was chosen in a 2020 race: a length of 9.4m for the safe and comfortable transport of 35 passengers.
The vehicle, completely built in Italy, features a sturdy stainless steel structure, and aluminum paneling.The engine is a 280hp Iveco Tector 6.7l, which is associated with a robotic gearbox and an electromagnetic retarder brake.
Passengers have comfortable reclining seats and an individual console with USB charging sockets, reading light and air conditioning vent at their disposal. The bus systems and utilities are controlled by a system designed and built by Tekne, and are managed via a 7 “touch screen.
