The President and CEO of the Indian giant Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd., (MDL) Vice Admiral Narayan Prasad and the General Manager Sanjay Kumar Singh, visited the Italian, La Spezia-based company Edgelab Srl. The two companies share several partnerships in the sector of AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) technologies and autonomous submarine systems, including the EUT (Expendable Underwater Target) program aimed at developing an underwater target for training sonar operators.

Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, headquartered in Mumbai, is one of the leading shipyards in India. Founded in 1774, incorporated as a limited liability company in 1934. After its takeover by the government in 1960, Mazagon Dock rapidly grew to 9,000 employees and became the leading defense shipyard in India. Since 1960 MDL has built a total of 800 defense ships, including 26 major military units (destroyers, stealth frigates and corvettes) and 6 submarines, as well as 650 civilian ships.
