Another significant milestone for Victrix Armaments, an Italian excellence in the field of precision
firearms: the company has officially been awarded the public tender issued by the Italian State
Police for the supply of the new weapon system intended for its Sniper Units.
The selected weapon is the Victrix Gladio PS A1, a top-tier bolt-action rifle, custom-built in record
time according to the technical specifications provided by the client.
The tender, extremely rigorous and selective, was drafted considering not only the highest technical
and quality standards, but also the current historical context and the possible evolution of future
operational scenarios.
In a time when threats are multiple and unpredictable, and law enforcement interventions can vary
in complexity and nature, it was essential to adopt a reliable, compact, versatile weapon system,
ready for immediate deployment under any condition.
The Gladio PS A1 successfully passed all scheduled test phases: over 8,000 rounds were fired
during trials, including inside a climate chamber under extreme environmental conditions, from
high to sub-zero temperatures, without compromising precision or mechanical reliability.
The system’s compactness was particularly appreciated, making it easy to transport even in non
conventional operational settings, ensuring maximum mobility and readiness even in dynamic or
urban contexts.
The weapon is also equipped with a dedicated muzzle brake, designed and prepared for the use of
sound suppression systems, in line with best international practices for protecting the hearing of
both operators and surrounding personnel.
The Gladio PS A1 demonstrated outstanding consistency in performance and structural solidity,
fully meeting the required standards and confirming the excellence of the project.
The supply was completed with a top-tier aiming system and a professional accessory kit: the
Gladio PS A1 is equipped with the Steiner M5Xi 5-25×56 optic with MSR2 reticle, selected directly
from Steiner’s professional catalogue, internationally recognized for optical performance and
operational reliability.
The management and supply of the aiming system were handled in partnership with Beretta
Fabbrica d’Armi, which met the tender requirements with competence and promptness, delivering a
fully integrated solution aligned with the operational needs of the units.
The system also includes dedicated optical filters, kill flash devices to reduce visual signature,
transport solutions, and a full set of accessories designed for professional-level tactical and
precision shooting.
