| The search for new production outlets and the strengthening of industrial synergies with the Fontana Liri Military Propellants Plant are the objectives of the industrial cooperation between AVIO S.p.A., a leading company in the design and production of propulsion systems for the aerospace and defense industry, and the Defense Industries Agency, an in-house body of the Ministry of Defense. The agreement was signed by the Procurement Director of AVIO, Sergio Colabucci, and by the Director General of AID, Dr. Nicola Latorre, at the Directorate General of the Defence Industries Agency. In order to undertake new development programs, the Fontana Liri production unit will be involved, an established industrial center in the production of spherical powders and control of the efficiency of propellants through its own laboratories. The agreement, which is expected to last until 2025, aims to help encourage the relaunch of the plant in the Frusinate area, thus involving the respective professionalism and capabilities in the broader program of industrial development of Defense. |
