The Eurofighters of the “White Eagle” Air Task Force, deployed on the Krolewo airport of Malbork in Poland, in less than four months of activity foreseen by the NATO mandate have reached the milestone of 500 flight hours.
This result, achieved also thanks to the professionalism of all the personnel who worked in the field of maintenance, allowing the aircraft to reach a percentage of efficiency that in the whole period has touched 97%.
This success confirms, once again, the functionality and versatility of the Eurofighter as a leading aircraft in today’s world scene, as well as the marked professionalism of the women and men of the Air Force engaged in the NATO mission on the eastern border of the Alliance.
Since 1 August, the Italian Eurofighters have been supporting enhanced Air Policing (eAP) operations, with the aim of reinforcing NATO’s Air Defence device in the north-eastern flank, under the command and control of the Allied Air Command in Ramstein (Germany), until 1 December 2022. With the redeployment carried out this year on Polish soil, Italy is the only nation of the Atlantic Alliance that has participated in all Air Policing operations.
