The soldiers of the Italian contingent, supported by their Hungarian colleagues deployed in Debrecen, conclude the first phase of the NATO training cycle.
The Italian soldiers of the NATO Battle Group in Hungary, in particular the light infantry platoons of the Julia Brigade and the Hungarian Mechanized Brigade located in Debrecen, have concluded an intense training phase aimed at standardizing technical and tactical procedures for smaller units.
At the same time, at Camp Croft, the personnel of the mortar platoon and the armored crews conducted an important fire activity.

The main actors of this intense week are the men and women of the 5th Alpine Regiment, the “Piedmont Cavalry” Regiment (2nd), the 3rd Mountain Land Artillery Regiment and the 2nd sapper engineers.
The soldiers deployed a few kilometers from the city of Debrecen practiced movement and combat techniques in urbanized scenarios (so-called Close Quarters Battle training), while mortar and armored units developed offensive and defensive maneuvers on diversified terrains and environments, with repeated fire actions. The “Noble Imperat” exercise highlights how important it is, in the modern scenario, the cohesion between the military forces of the different NATO countries and the interoperability of their respective units. Defining and consolidating common procedures becomes the key element to ensure an adequate response of the Alliance against any threats to the Euro-Atlantic spaces.
