OCCAR-EA has awarded a Contract Amendment on behalf of the Light Weight Torpedo LWT Programme Participating States Australia, France, Italy and Germany.
OCCAR-EA Director, Mr Joachim Sucker has signed an initial contract with EEIG EuroTorp, for Phase 1 of three-years of In-Service Support (ISS) with an option to extend the support for a further three years.
This ISS Contract Amendment 2 incorporates another three-year ISS period into the Contract, ensuring navies have ongoing MU90 capabilities until 2029.
MU90 is a top-tier, NATO-standard LWT designed for use by surface vessels, helicopters and airplanes against all submarines, in every operational scenario.
With the extension of the ISS out to 2029, the Programme is now in a position to consider a greater scope over the coming decades, including a potential partial redesign and production.
