The Vittoria Shipyard informs that the Cavazzana Group, which is headed by the professional Roberto Cavazzana, was awarded, during the day of Monday 16 September, the auction for the acquisition of the company, at a value of 8.2 million euros.
The transaction will have to be ratified over the next few weeks by the creditors’ meeting, which will have to express its opinion on the possible approval of the Approved Restructuring Plan (PRO).
The acquisition by the aforementioned Group takes place following the submission of an initial bid on 24 July, subsequently supplemented twice and placed as the auction base. The envelopes with the offers were opened on Monday 16 September, in Rovigo, in the office of the accountant Maria Clotilde Castellani, one of the judicial commissioners appointed by the Delegated Judge Benedetta Barbera of the Court of Rovigo.
Roberto Cavazzana manages a network of highly specialized companies and studios in the fields of engineering, architecture, territory and environment: Rete Het.
The President of the Veneto Region Luca Zaia expresses satisfaction: “We consider closed an important phase of this process that in recent months has seen us engaged in a common effort with the social partners and with the management in charge of managing the procedure. Initially there was little optimism, but today, finally, we have a potential to take over with an industrial proposal which, as its promoter explained at the regional table, provides for total discontinuity with the management of the previous ownership, the reorganization with a view to increasing productivity and an ambitious plan to relaunch the company with the maintenance of the current 48 employees and further growth in terms of heads and skills”.
“It should be remembered, however, that the procedure is not yet finished – continues Zaia -: in the next few days the creditors will have to express themselves with a favorable vote on the proposal of restoration which in any case ensures them a much greater satisfaction than in the case of bankruptcy. As a Region, we have ensured technical assistance and training courses to support this transition phase. The current temporary management, which has so far operated in the best possible way, will still have to work to ensure production continuity until the ball passes to the new company, whose structure is not yet defined”.
“I therefore hope that everything will continue to proceed in the best possible way and with the agreement of the parties. For this reason, through the Corporate Crisis Unit and the other regional structures involved, we will continue to monitor and support the process. The next appointment of the regional table is scheduled for October 24 while for November the transition should be completed and the real industrial relaunch can start”, concludes President Luca Zaia.
