The Commander of the Northern Operational Forces, General of the Italian Army Corps Salvatore Camporeale, visited the units of the “Folgore” Parachute Brigade engaged, at the Monte Romano Polygon, in a cycle of exercises to test the planning, preparation and conduct of military tactical activities in “broad-spectrum” scenarios, from those of peacekeeping and support to the Armed Forces of host nations to those of high intensity.
The training progression has made it possible to validate the Command and Control capabilities of the Great Unit, using in a synchronized manner diversified assets of the dependent departments and other peculiar components of the Italian Army, able to express a range of specific skills that guarantee maximum flexibility and operational complementarity to the land instrument.
In this context, the ability of the “Folgore” departments to operate in any operational scenario, even non-permissive, as well as in response to threats with increasing danger levels, has also been consolidated, enhancing the synergy between the “Combat”, “Combat Support” and “Combat Service Support” components. In addition to the units of the “Folgore” Paratroopers Brigade, they also took part in the training activities of the Italian Army Training, Specialization and Doctrine Command, the Army Aviation Command, the Tactical Information Brigade, the 7th Transmission Regiment, the 87th RCST “Friuli” and the Multinational Cimic Group.
