The Vittoria shipyard in Adria (Rovigo) delivers two units to the Italian Coast Guard and thus brings the number of boats supplied to the military to four, as part of the order, for a total value of 10.45 million euros, for five boats of the Search and Rescue category Cp300, intended for the Port Authority corps.
With a ceremony at the Grandi quay in Porto Levante, the shipyard, which specializes in the design and construction of military, paramilitary, work and commercial boats, delivered the Cp331 and Cp332 units to the Coast Guard. They are, explains a note, “unsinkable and self-righting boats, mainly intended for carrying out search and rescue operations at sea”.
The ceremony was attended by Paolo Duò, president of the Vittoria shipyard, and a delegation of the Coast Guard represented by lieutenant Pietro Alaimo and first class chief Ippazio Rizzo. The first two units were delivered last February.
The Adria yard won the European tender announced by the Ministry of Transport in 2016. The units made are light aluminum alloy vehicles about 20 meters long, 4.5 meters wide and with a draft of 0.95 meters. The boats have been designed to reach a continuous maximum speed of 35 knots and are capable of accommodating up to 200 people.
