The Eurofighter F-2000 Typhoon programme is undoubtedly the most important cooperation programme of the European aerospace industry in the defence sector. The program was born in 1986 from the will of Italy, Spain, Germany and the United Kingdom to equip themselves with a European fighter capable of guaranteeing full interoperability in operational theaters and at the same time allowing the development and maintenance of aerospace technologies in the military sector for the benefit of European industries. The Typhoon program supports a broad industrial base with an estimated employment level of more than 100,000 highly specialized units, developing important technologies and ensuring operational capacity for the Air Forces of the Partner Countries and Exports.
