The Spanish Army has acquired a batch of 78 semi-automatic shotguns M4A from the company Beretta Benelli lbérica for an amount slightly higher than the 200.000 euros. La M4, manufactured by Benelli, is a semi-automatic shotgun with capacity for seven cartridges of caliber 12, a cadence of approximately 125 shots/minute, chamber of 76 mm Magnumy stock and technopolymer rod. It has a weight of approximately 3.8 kg and a riffle of 47 cm.
It is equipped with a blade sight protected by side fins and an adjustable diopter and the riffle is chrome on the inside and phosphate on the outside, explains the manufacturer of the weapon. Each shotgun must have as a minimum, the following accessories: door opener; simple rail picatinny; tri-rail picatinny; three-point strap; puntery rises; cleaning kit and transport suitcase.
The delivery of the lot will take place before November 30 of this year, according to the formalization announcement. The Head of Economic Affairs of the Army Logistics Support Command (MALE) has been the body responsible for the tender through a negotiated procedure with advertising and ordinary processing. The exact budget is 208,107 euros, with taxes. The price of the unit. without VAT. is trusted at 2,205 euros.
The shotgun must have a reversible manual lock (right-handed button) in the area of the trigger, as well as an automatic insurance against premature shooting; clisponer of a quick cartridge replacement lever; have a [red] indicator to indicate that the hammer is cocked; and will have a rear sight Ghost Ringcon dioptrias and wind resistance, with adjustable elevation, and protective side lugs, with fixed sight for Ghost Ring Srghry ca rril Picatinny.
The cylinder head must be adjustable in several positions (minimum of 4) and be brownish, with an outer ceramic coating that confers resistance against extreme environmental conditions, erosion, corrosion and scratching. The specifications do not indicate which units could use this weapon.
