The course on the use of the “Simulation System for Contact Combat at marking nose”, held by the instructors of the Cesano di Roma Infantry School, in favor of specialized personnel, ended today at the headquarters of the 152nd regiment. of the “Sassari” Brigade.
The training activity, carried out in full compliance with the anti COVID-19 regulations, took place at the “Gonzaga” barracks and the training area called “Campo Mela”, near Sassari, with the aim of training new instructors for the use of peculiar simulation systems that reproduce the handling and operation of the weapons supplied in a very realistic way.
The course, lasting one week, was held alternating theoretical lessons with practical exercises conducted in different “force-on-force” scenarios, with opposing parties including close combat, escort convoys, patrol activities and “force-on-target” scenarios on fixed objectives.
During the training the Beretta 92 FS pistol, the ARX 160 assault rifle and the Minimi machine gun were used, with the particularity of being powered, through the adoption of a special conversion kit, with special reduced-charge bullets, whose ogives determine a marking on the point of impact through coloring substances: the FX marking.
The course allowed to further expand the experience of the new instructors of the “Sassari” Brigade, also confirming the importance of the integrated use of the various simulation systems. The exercises carried out with the use of pointed pointed weapons allow you to put into practice what was previously understood through the use of the Virtual Battle Space 3 (VBS3) simulator, supplied to the Army, ensuring continuity between planning and execution.
Thanks to the adoption of these simulation systems, the men and women of the Army can train effectively and in absolute safety.
